Endometriosis is an inflammatory and immune condition that is affected by sex hormones. An official diagnosis is often hard to get, and the gold standard is a laparoscopy. But that doesn’t mean that you have to wait for treatment. The key signs and symptoms of this condition are period pain, back pain, ovarian cysts, rectal pain, infertility, spotting throughout the cycle, pelvic pain, ovulation pain (so much pain!), but can also include fatigue, severe bloating, headaches, migraine, and IBS like gut symptoms. It’s also been associated with insulin resistance, PCOS, and thyroid issues.
