Telemedicine

In light of the COVID-19 pandemic, follow up visits (with the exception of injections) are now available via telemedicine. Now you can address your health concerns from the comfort of your own home!

Depending on the primary concern and as long as you live in Alberta, initial new patient visits and follow ups for existing patients may be able to be done via telemedicine.

If you are interested in this service, or would like to find out if your concern can be treated via telemedicine send me a note!

A Naturopathic Approach to Treatment

Naturopathic medicine is a form of primary health care that utilizes the art and science of diagnosis and treatment, using natural therapies and non-pharmacological approaches, and focuses on the whole person rather than on individual parts. Naturopathic doctors use medical histories, physical exams and labs to assist in the process of coming to a diagnosis. They draw both on traditional knowledge and current research to inform both diagnosis and treatment.

Treatment focuses on healing the root causes rather than just symptom management, which is why the health interview and diagnosis process are so extensive. Finding the root cause and the underlying pattern isn’t always easy. The treatment modalities used in naturopathic medicine include botanical medicine, clinical nutrition, lifestyle counselling, physical manipulation, homeopathy, acupuncture and hydrotherapy which seek to support the health of the whole person gently and with minimal side effects, treat the root cause of the disease, and prevent future development of disease.

Your health is one of the most important things you have. It’s worth taking care of!

Acupuncture

Acupuncture can be a beneficial part of any treatment plan, and has very well documented beneficial effects on both systemic problems (hormones, fertility, anxiety, depression) and local concerns (pain and injury).

Vitamin Injections

Injecting vitamins intramuscularly allows for vitamins to be put directly into the body, bypassing the gut, for immediate use by the body.

Prolotherapy

Prolotherapy is the injection of dextrose and an anesthetic into areas of pain and ligament or tendon weakness.

Ozone

Ozone injected into the body can be a powerful stimulator of the healing process. It is quick, cost effective, clinically effective, with minimal risks or side effects.
